Joshua Geesling
Associate

Josh began his legal career in the judiciary. He clerked for Justice John P. Devine at the Supreme Court of Texas and then for Judges Alan D. Albright and James R. Nowlin in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
During those clerkships, Josh worked on everything from intellectual property disputes to constitutional challenges. He saw how the best advocates write briefs, try cases, and win on appeal. And he brings that insight to private practice, where he strives to provide thoughtful and creative solutions to legal issues.
Before clerking, Josh went to law school at the Texas Tech University School of Law. There he earned the top grade in four courses, won a negotiation competition, and was a comment editor on the Texas Tech Law Review. He later became a member of the Order of the Coif after graduating in the top ten percent of his class.
Josh is also an Army veteran. He served for six years as an Infantryman in the U.S. Army National Guard, with one deployment to East Africa. His military awards include the Army Commendation Medal, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, and the French Desert Commando Badge.
